Born in 1966 and raised in Växjö. Music teachers Allan Rogers, Birgitta Jöneteg, and Anette Riel provided inspiration and the desire to pursue further music studies.

In 1990, received the Music College's travel grant to visit the Netherlands for singing lessons with jazz singer Deborah Brown.
Began singing jazz with bassist Sture Nordin at “Bolaget” in Stockholm in 1989.
Continued with Lennart Nyhlén, Bengt Hansson, Janne Sjöblom, Roger Palm, and Calle Lundborg at Mosebacke, Skansen, and with Maffy Falai and Bernt Rosengren at Lilla Maria in Stockholm.
Sang with Leif "Ös-Loffe" Norman and the National Jazz Band at Stampen and on SVT's "Striptease" on New Year's Eve 1991.
Worked as a performing waitress at the entertainment restaurant Wallmans Salonger, 1991-94.
Duet with Peter Jöback, Cole Porter concert at the China Theater in Stockholm. Furthermore, toured with Arne Domnérus, Svante Thuresson, Leif "Smokerings" Andersson, and Gösta Hägglöf's Royal Blue Melodians in 1993.

Awarded the Jazz Museum Foundation’s "Anita O'Day Prize" in 2007, with the following motivation: "Carin Lundin is the musicians' favorite singer, and she skillfully preserves the jazz musical heritage from great vocalists like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, and, of course, Anita O'Day, with a timing and jazz feel unique among Swedish singers."
The fourth album, "Smulor och Parafraser" (PCD095), was released at the end of 2008 and received excellent reviews, including from Dan Backman in SvD and Jan Gradvall in Dagens Industri. Musicians: Erik Söderlind – guitar, Johan Setterlind – trumpet/arranger, Mathias Algotsson – piano, Mattias Welin – bass, and Daniel Fredriksson – drums.
The album ranked 5th place in the Orkesterjournalen's Golden Record poll.
